If you really want a Chevy engine for your truck, might I suggest either a 305,307, or a 327. The reason there are so many parts out there for 350 motors is because they have a tendency to break alot. I had a '79 Z28 back in '84 with a 350 and it put 3 rods through the oil pan on me. 10:30 on a Sunday night no less. What a mess that was. Currently one of my cars is an '84 OLdsmobile Custom Cruiser station wagon with the 5.0 liter (305-307) engine. And even though the car has over 180000 miles on it, the engine is still hanging in there for me. It even starts easier in the winter than my '86 Plymounth minivan with a 4 banger. Just my 2 cents worth. Robert
