I recently tried Eastwood's Undergone to removed the undercoating inside the doors of my '37 truck. I was also hopeing this ugly job would be easier. At this age the undercoating is fossilized and not really a tar anymore. Even after applying alot and waiting the undergone did not turn the coating to goo so I scraped most of it off with a razerblade in a holder since it was a flat surface. The Undergone was good at getting off the remaining residue, but I think thinner would do just as well. Undergone might work better on fresher undercoat. Steve
