When I worked in the oil patch we had to spin out water and oil samples. Spinning out samples is like putting a bucket on a rope and spinning it. You are using a rotating motion to seperate fluids of different specific gravitys.
One day I was bored and did this with a vile of wd-40 , it seems to have two distinct liquids in near 50/50 mix one of which seems to be good old H2O and the other a petroleum product of some sort. The lighter of the two fluids burned the heavier did not ( Water?).
I do belive there is a superior product for almost any task ... but I do think it makes a great cleaner.
