the front axle on the dodges is much stronger than the GM but they both use way to wimpy of steering parts. The tie rod ends are breaking triggering a recall. The 42-70s WC/PW/M37 tie rod end is twice the size and almost never bad on the trucks I have owned and worked on. blows me away that no one is running cotter pins anymore either. GM was the first to drop the cotter pins and you see GM trucks on side of road with wheels pointing in opposite directions. we will see more of that as time goes on form other brands as well. you would think at 50K for a truck that can tow 25K all the steering parts would be at least as strong as a 3/4 ton Command car. ;/)
