The bell from the USS Arizona stands in Morgantown, WV. It is in a monument in front of the WVU Mountainlair. As far as I know, it has never been pranked, painted, or otherwise disgraced by the students or others. That's saying something. We were pretty prankish when we grew up there!
It's good that there is respect shown.
