You can usually mount a 22.5 beside a 20 as the outside diameter of the TIRES is the same between a 10 x 20 and a 11R22.5 or a 9 x 20 and a 10R22.5 or an 8.25 x20 and a 9R22.5. but only in those combinations ,and possibly not legally in your jurisdiction. All 20 inch truck rims I have seen are split and yes you can mount 9.00 x20 Radials on them.
