I run continentals but everybody has an opinion I run some recon batteries they are good for the old tractor, winch for trailer was one on w300 till it was reduced to melted lead after engine fire. I don't know they hold the charge as well over time as new batteries especially with something that draws so much current as a diesel. Not knowing where you live the weather etc. I just bought a 91 Cummings d250 very clean it had a new battery from a major auto parts place in it 6 months old. My 2003 dodge duelly with 24 valve runs continentals as does the 46 WDX 8 volt I but them new when I had a 92 dodge Cummings back in 95 seemed like 2 years was all I could get on the batteries same with the 99 24 valve the 03 went 7 years seems like 3 since I have to change. So it comes down to what you like best in batteries tires dogs women etc. etc. my personal opinion based on past history. By the way between my dad 2 brothers 1 nephew he liver=s with his dad and I we 6 diesel dodge duellys, 2 3/4 t 2 wd and 5 gas dodge trucks 69 62 46 43 41 of a M211 GMC a 57 t bird my granddads 84 chevy shortbox that is very very fast. The rest are womens cars and of no interest here
