It is. I was extremely sick and a regular
Doc couldn't pick it up. Thankfully one of the nurses figured it out and I recall her saying he has malaria and you need to get help for him or he will die. Her husband was a Vet and had it which is how she knew. The last time I was in I can only remember small snippets of what happened because my fever was so high and I was pretty out of it. Fortunately VA Docs knew what to look for and took care of it right away after I was taken there. I have only talked with one other fella this ever happened to in the same way.
