You guys are the best! Thanks to all the good advice I received here on the forum, I discovered the problem with that horrible clanking in the front end was a WARN hub that was stuck in a partially engaged position. Lesson learned - don't be so anxious to get the baby on the road without checking everything soup-to-nuts.
Kudos to Chris Case for nailing this one on the head, and to Greg Coffin, Mark @ Willy-N, Kaegi and John in Utah for your help. And of course, Joe for providing the magnificent conduit! You guys are the best! Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!
