I will and use the #6 hole for the TDC indicator but this time use a brass welding rod to stick into it. I have set the timing many times on 230 engines and pulled and replace several pumps with no problems. Not sure why I blew it this time? Might be the cold and pressed for time watching the snow coming over head. It was around 28 degs outside and 19 this morning! I even bought me a new timing light for this engine. I lent my other one out and it never came back home?? As far as the engine compartment that is all I have left to do then the skirts go on. I was so close then it would not start. Dash is done except for hooking up the Bright Lights indicator light I forgot about. Saw the wire sticking out not hooked up doing my Vent Hose clamps. Once I fix the wipers wiring right that's it till spring. It is ready to roll this winter in the snow. Tires and finishing the bed is a spring project. I got my block heater plugged in to keep the engine warm till I can run it to mix up the antifreeze I put in. It warmed it up nice with the rod for a head bolt down in the water jacket.
