I was always going to do that to my truck! One reason I went with 3/16" steel on my dump bed was to load the rear tires since it will be empty most of the time and make it ride smooth and have better traction. That would help the Townie having more weight. My one ton 77 4x4 Chevy rides like a tank till I have at least 2,000 lbs in the bed.
