OK I see what you mean. I know I must have got it off a tooth. I was real carful when I pulled it to set it the same way but it hung up then went in just not sure which way it moved. Last time I set it at #1 TDC at 7:00 outside the truck on the stand. Much easier to do. I will look up how you set the pump again before you push it in with the Dist pulled and make sure it lines back up right. What makes me so mad it was running so smooth and easy to start!! I knew this would happen when I changed the pump. That why I kept putting it off. I only have to pull the dist enough to clear the slot not totally out of the block. Still a pain to do laying over the tire under the fender.
