It would be nice to know for real, based on actual tests, how deleterious the adapter actually is. In theory, it should be bad to have the flow necked down, but in reality, other things (like the stock intake and exhaust manifolds) may be the limiting factor in terms of flow. I've done 3 Weber conversions so far (1 progressive, 2 synchronous) and have been pleased with the even throttle response and good power. I've not tried messing with the jets, which is supposedly very easy to do on a Weber. They need very little choke when starting cold. They are designed for the smaller engines, but honestly in terms of power (and therefore fuel rate and air flow) our 230s ARE small by today's standards. I would just like to see someone really "dial one in" for the 230 like they have for the slant 6 and all the Japanese 4-bangers.
