I used to ride my late '50s/early '60s BSAs at 100+ with sunglasses and no helmet. Almost as scary as going down a steep grade at about 45mph on a ten speed bike, realizing I am running on 2 tires that are about 5/8" wide and thin enough that any pointed piece of gravel could cause severe pain.
