This picture shows the direction of oil flow from the oil galley to the bypass oil filter, and from the filter back into the port above the oil pressure relief valve. This is for a 230, but it is the same for all of our flatheads.

What differs is where the oil enters the filter. With this filter style, the oil enters the bottom of the filter and exits the top.
