237 Engine Question, Help Needed.

On my 53 B3F 1.5 ton truck, I want to add a by-pass oil filter. It came from the factory without one. I have added them before to the 230's but this has a different set up. Behind the starter motor, going toward the front of the engine is (2) 1/4" pipe plugs and then a bolt pattern around it as if it could have a bolt on type filter possibly full flow. I am fine with the by-pass type. Does anyone have any experience with this on a 237?
