greg. the 430s are the smaller diameter ring and pinion. if you need the truck for work, you may want to go larger pumpkin 489s and larger tires. in my command car, i have a large rear 489 and a small pinion 489 in the front. it was that way from a mercedes rebuild. i changed out the 583s front and back. If i had to do it again, id skip the gears and go 10.50 chevrons and be done with it....
