Use your meter to check it when it is turning over and see if the voltage pulses. Capacitor's can go bad if you have a needle on your meter charge the cap and then reverse the probes it should ping the meter on the resistance scale to check it. Measure the resistance on the coil or just use a wire right off the battery to tempory check for spark. Make sure the rotor is in the distributor cap?
