Here is the wiper motor installed in the Valance. Not sure if the shaft was shorter it would help that much since you need to remove it totally to put it in. You may be able to mount the arm closer to the cab with the shorter shaft but that might not give you enough room to raise the windshield up. A 2" shaft would work. When I slide the black tubes over the shaft you won't be able to see any shiny part.
