Well, I'm looking at doing this for the least $$$ possible and trying to keep it simple. Every option means spending more. It is also a process of elimination and I am starting with the easiest to do for me.
Modifying one of my rims means I have to find a custom wheel mfg. here in Phoenix so I don't have the added expense of shipping rims all over on top of the expense of actually modding the rim.
Shifting the valve stem to a new hole is problematic in that I have to pay to have the rim broken down, again, and remounted after drilling the hole... if it can be done? I'm not so sure the tube can be rotated enough without causing it to fail?
So, this is not as easy as I had hoped to accomplish keeping it safe and legal. Maybe someone else would like to give it a go? Or better yet, someone that has already figured it out could just let us know what needs to be done? :)
