bracket so i am gong to notch pc of channel extention so it slides into the bracket weld it so it can be drilled to mount the support frame 2 in. forward of stock at a height i can use a rubber insulator between the bracket and support bringing it to stock height

i could use a bracket extention on the bottom of the front crossmember like the late model and use some tall insulators but like the above scenario better to keep the original look

it all makes sense now--previous owner torched off the back flange of the support where the stock 230 rad and shroud mounted so they could move it forward to the front flange and used what in my op was the stock rad. that came out of the desoto taxi the 236 came out of but somewhere down the line someone ditched the stock fan and put an electric one it --why is the million dollar question

when i first got it i culd not fig what the hell they had done

live and learn---i took the vintage rad to a rad shop and he said it was junk and i left it with him--i should have kept it and used the tanks with a new core but seems it was smaller than the stock 230wc radiator

wonder if it is stll there

anyway i am going to weld back up the support bracket where it was torched to as close as stock as possible and mount it forward and use the stock 230 rad. out of one of my parts trucks

i can either modify it with a neck to the stock hole but i want to keep it stock for the wc62 i will restore to original!!!??!!someday and would hate to butcher a nice vintage radiator

so i can either move the hole in one of my shells or try my hand at making a shell and put the hole where i want it--which is what i will do

the beauty of this is i get the high pump the rad. and shroud mount where they need to be and retain the early grille

and either modif
