Not to bad a 5' x 10' x 3/16" plate steel cost was $352.00 total that will do the bootm with 2- 55 deg 5" wide bends on the sides to bolt the side pieces to. The next steel will be cheaper. I will weld a 1 1/2" x 3/16" angle iron to the side of the box steel hooked to the cylinders to bolt this to. Figure a 3/8" bolt every 12" all the way around should do it and a strip across the center. That is around 34 bolts total holding it on to the frame. The sides will bolt on the plate with bolts 12" on center but in a Zig Zag pattern in the 3" over lap for more strength keeping them not all in a strait line. I will make a jig to drill these with like I did on my tender to easy to get out of line with that many holes drilled by hand. Then I can take the bed apart for repair and painting. Going to do the bottom first and the rest in the spring.
