I found a RH drive LR for sale close about 10 years ago. It looked neat, and since my brother in law is a rural postman, I thought it would be great for him. I asked around for a while and got directed to the singing camel guy who has a shop that restores LR's about an hour from here.
He knew about that one, and told me to stay away from it for just about all the problems that John mentioned.
We have a Land Rover shop in Mason City, VPW in Fairfield and an IHC (Scout) shop in Burlington. Iowa's pretty cool for old 4x4's..
