Nothing I know of in a small package marine type that will handle winter conditions. A few years ago, I talked with a engineer at Trico. He told me not to expect to find a powerful wiper in a small package. He said one needs a external motor driving into the gear train for power.

With that said, the huge problem is that the wiper motors with the external large motor driving in to the gear case have the output shafts NOT centered on the center line of the motor.

In the valance of PW/WC's space is the problem. One motor could fit, but the other side has to have the motor flipped to fit. Now the output shafts are at two different levels and woudl look terrible.

Trico did have a wonderful motor that would have worked, but it was very expensive. It was a special design for some Saab platform car. The problem was the sweep was determined by the cast drive gear and slot. The sweep was 179 Degrees and in no way could be changed.

I got the NAPA wiper motor catalog with pictures and dimensions. The book had tons of wiper motors. I found none that would work in our application.

I think we need to find a tail gate motor that has adjustable sweep. And that does nto seem to be available as all are designed with a fixed huge sweep for the rear tailgate window.
