Nobody makes an aftermarket overdrive for Dodge setups. Ranger makes one for Ford and Chev but apparently not enough market for Dodge.

Depending on the tires you have on your truck, you should be turning about 3,000 RPM at 60 mph. On the high side but your engine should be able to do it. Gas mileage sucks I am sure. To drop the RPMs to get better mpg is going to cost a lot more than the gas you will burn.

I have the same issue with my WC53 with a Chev engine in it (1965 Chev 327). The truck will do 70 (3500 RPM) all day and not breath hard. My engine loves to spin those RPMs. It is balanced and etc. Gas milage is not too bad after I installed a good carb and electronic ignition.
