O.T. Mortar or thin set

Thanks for looking.
For those of you that are contractors or have used this stuff before what would you recommend to attach these stone to a interior wall. I have 26 cases of stone approximately 100 sq. feet.
I put 1/2 plywood on the 2x6 construction.
Then coverd that with 3x5 1/4" hardiboard.
Looking for some thing with good to great adhesion has a reasonable working time,thanks again for your help. Bill
