WC stands for Wheelbase and Classification of vehicles.
Only the WC-21, WC-51, and WC-52 were classified as Weapon Carriers (purpose: to transport weapons, tools and equipment). These trucks were the prime mover either towing the 37-MM antitank gun or self-propelled (mounted) anti-tank gun. "C" had nothing to do with GVW.
