The 2wd 3/4 ton was a WD-15 and the 1 ton was a WD-20/21

So back in 1941-45 during war production there was no letter designation for a 3/4 ton. Starting in 1948 Dodge added B for 1/2 ton making the C designation 3/4 ton and the D designation became 1 ton only. This naming convention was used until 1957 when Dodge started using numbers like D100.

A further reason why the 3/4 ton and 1 1/4 ton WWII military trucks were WC is that there was no 3/4 ton specific letter at that time.
