I'd never haul a truck with those.
I've had an incident with nylon straps & learned my lesson the hard way. You can get axle straps that are chain with fabric covering but using nylon straps... It's just a matter of time before you have an incident.
Not for me...there's plenty of ways to tie a truck down with chains without doing any damage. I've towed thousands & thousands of miles with some pretty nice trucks & I think the only damage that's ever been done is when my nylon straps broke in an emergency situation.
Don't do it...that's all I can say.
