you are right. redesign. But there was a few redesigns. my 1960 had the tranverse leaf spring and that wasn't installed factory until 62 or so. then they added front sway bar sometime before the total redesign in 64 or 65 when they went away from swing axles. Someone must have added or a dealer later on added the transverse leaf to mine. I have heard the early cars were recalled because of Ralph Nader but cant find anything to back up that story.
