OT, Tractor tire question

I need to get a set of new rear tires for my Case 580CK backhoe. Looking at prices, the basic farm tractor tires with the traditional chevron tread is substantially less coin than the same size and rating industrial tread tires. Whats the difference, and would there be any drawback to using the farm tractor tires on a backhoe? It would seem like the farm tractor tires would offer a lot better traction than the industrial tread. I dont drive it on the road very much, it seems like the industrial tread would be a smoother ride than the chevron tread.
