I have 250 ft of 3/8" cable on my WM300, and used every foot of it one time. I was backing down a snowy road in my W200 and dropped a back tire into a ditch - couldn't quite get out. The WM300 was behind the W200, and the ditch was too deep to pull the W200 through. 120 ft away was a utility pole right in line with the W200, so I ran the cable from the WM300 through a snatch block at the base of the pole, back to the W200. I had 3 wraps left on the winch drum. I set wheel chocks on the WM300 and engaged the winch at idle, ran to the W200 and drove it out of the ditch. Ran back to the WM300 before the slack was taken up. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.
