I think 200' is a better length. If you pull to the side even slightly it will pile up and bind. I know...snatch block...but sometimes even with a snatch block things don't always go just right.
The main reason for fiber core is it's more flexible and easier to handle. But it does kink more easily. Loggers and mines use wire core. Loggers don't care if it kinks, and mines just replace it.
I had a really hard time finding fiber core. Everyone had wire core. I finally found a place close that would order the length in for me.
