I wonder how many episodes of vapor lock were axtually weak spark?
When did they go to oil filled coils for cooling them? They need to be mounted up right or they leak, so perhaps the Dodges with coils on their sides (1/2T WCs)or up side down (lots of Dodges) are heat sensitive.
