Welcome Gerald!

This forum is different than any other i have read, the guys on here are honest and knowledgeable and most prefer original condition.... even if that is still rusty :)
Many have been driving and fixing these amazing trucks for decades and so your likely to get real experienced answers.

you will not find a better group of people willing to help you track down issues or find parts or what ever.

Most of us are on slim budgets and like to do the work ourselves.

This means that the comments that are made show opinions that are usually geared toward less expensive, original, vintage, etc.

This does not really mean they are negative toward customization.... just have to look at the comments that come when one of these comes up that has been painted orange or yellow or some other non original color....
1/2 will comment on it not being original but the other half will always say it looks great.

Dan M has made many gorgeous modified trucks as well as others like Kevin in Ohio who has a beautiful red WW2 WC 1/2 ton that has been way modified and is awesome!!!

I have modified many vehicles over the years and now am taking my WW2 1/2 ton as close to original as possible.....
you have to take the posts as they are intended, honest.... in fact when you get down to it my 41 WC is not actually a power wagon and if we are going to be honest i will agree..... but they are damn close :)

enjoy your truck, change what you want, ask for help and expect lots of good advice.... then choose the way you want to go and have at it.

in the end we will all still get along.
