There is no weight, just a stamped steel piece. Maybe there's supposed to be a weight and it's missing? As it is now, when it's hot it's all the way counterclockwise, with considerable spring pressure holding it there. I will have to see how it is when it's cold, but I'm pretty sure it's in the same position, and I have to use the wire to pull it up. But what I'm really asking is whether "clockwise" or "counterclockwise" is the "carb heat position". Terms like "open" are ambiguous to me, because that could mean the exhaust path is open, bypassing the carb heat chamber, or it could mean the valve directing heat into the carb base is open, for max heating. So, which direction, CW or CCW, heats the carb?
