Wet sand it. Get some wax & grease remover to wipe down everything before you paint. It will remove finger print and other oils without damaging the primer. You could wait months before the top coat, but to be safe you would probably have to scuff it with a very fine 3M scotch bright pad. They come in different colors for different coarseness, eg red, gray, ect.
