We used to race the 237's on speedway here back in the '50's - early '60's without governors and rpm's a fair bit higher and they would last years with that treatment. Also had a few street vehicles that lasted until sold or broken that would run 3000-3500 as long as you wanted to drive them. Ah, the joys of a miss-spent youth.
