I've never really seen a trailer worth buying under about $4000. I figure if you're going to go to the trouble of buying, maintaining, insuring a trailer...I want 7k lb axles minimum. That gives me about a 10k load max & I find I need all of that. Then by the time you get a minimum of 20' & preferably 20' plus beaver tail...they sell new around the North West for roughly $6k.
I paid $3500 for mine 4 years old & it's done a great job for me over the years but I find anything that doesn't at least have 16" tires & 8 bolt wheels...too lite for us.
