My understanding is it's not so much the actual angle, but that the two ends be parallel with each other. In other words, whatever angle the tail shaft of the T-case makes relative to the ground (or frame) should be the same angle the pinion shaft coming out of the axle makes. And of course the U-joints at each end should be phased right. Don't know if you've raised the suspension or you can pivot the axle, but the idea is to get both ends parallel to each other, even if they're not directly in line. Same with the side-to-side angle if there is any, although there's not much you can do about that.
