Yes, I've paid close attention to mine ever since I read the 1-1/2" clearance. I hate the look of duals with tires that look like training wheels & huge spacing. GM's seem to be the worst but like I say, my 2011 Dodge looked normal & it had stock tires when I bought it.
With 3/4" spacing on the 19.5's I had on it, I seriously had over 2 tons loaded in the bed & it still looked close to 3/4" clearance to me.
I can see if a guy ran one low on pressure that it could be a problem.
That's one modern invention I do like...tire pressure monitors.
