They're not saying who makes the equipment and materials. They obviously didn't invent it themselves, but the guy doesn't name names and the video doesn't show anything with a brand name on it. It certainly looks to me like it's a paint process rather than an electroplating process. It might be some super deluxe high-tech multi-step paint, but it's still paint. Probably fine for a show vehicle that doesn't have to sit out in the weather, though. Still seems like you'd have to fill and buff the original surface if there's any pitting or peeling of the chrome.
