Very true. Intelligence and common sense are not necessarily related.
Personally I believe most of your common sense is inherited. So if the parents don't have any, the kids probably won't have any. And....if the parents have it and don't spend time with their kids, the kids likely won't have it. But, if the parents have any common sense, they WILL spend time with their kids.
