My boys love stick shift but not me Automatic is the only way to go for everyday use. Its a half ton truck that we yous like a 1 ton. But we always kept the fluid clean. My plow truck is a Chevy and older no trans problems yet. BUT IM the only plow driver. I know when to stop pushing. Bill.
