Not better at getting rid of heat, but MUCH easier to repair or modify. With aluminum and plastic crimped together and sealed with sticky-pucky, there's not much you can do to fix it or reconfigure it, but with brass you can easily solder up holes or use ordinary copper plumbing fittings and pipe to change the connections around. I believe there are also corrosion issues with aluminum, at least with "old" antifreeze formulations or if you don't use antifreeze.
