Here are my impressions after using Bob's Speedometer (Michigan) to rebuild my gauges/speedometer... don't.

Here is a brief summary of my experience. I sent my gauges to them back in mid Dec. of last year and after almost 5 months I received my gauges back and was very disappointed. They didn't calibrate any of the gauges, the volt meter didn't work - only registered 10 volts and the needle is way too big, the scales of the gauges extended beyond the windows so you couldn't read all the numbers, the speedometer had dirt on the inside of the glass, to name a few of the problems.

So, I contacted them and voiced my displeasure, they had me send them back (at my expense) to be redone. When I returned them, I sent a bullet point list for them to follow pointing out everything that was wrong. So, I waited another 4 months and just got them back (mid Aug). They're still not right. Evidently, they didn't use my bullet point list. They did get the scales sized correctly for the windows but the volt meter needle wasn't fixed. They did get most of the dust off the inside of the speedometer. I don't know about the calibration yet as I haven't installed them yet.

So, after 8 months and $1000, there is no way I'm sending them back again. I'll live with them the way they are. Also of note, I never received any communication from them. I called them a few times to check on the progress and was always told they were "waiting on art work". Seems to be their standard answer.

Don't make the mistake I did. Bottom line, there are other places to have your gauges rebuilt for less money and a lot less time. Hope this saves someone from the frustration I've been through.
