Yes and No! A pickup truck usually will be limited to series 100-200-300 or 1/2-3/4 or 1 ton model trucks. Chevy el caminos or ford ranchero's are considered by some to be mere converted cars to a powderpuff truck for women and not really trucks from a macho point of view but, then again, some believe real trucks have manual trans. and view trucks with auto trannys as something less than a real truck.
Conclusion, Our WDX-WM300 PWs are real trucks.Whether you have a drill rig mounted on the back or a pickup box, it is a truck.
If I see a 1/2 ton truck with a flat bed instead of a PU box, I call it a flatbed PU truck. But it kinda slips into a diff. catagory for 1-tons. I would call it a flatbed 1-ton, instead of a PU. 100-300 series trucks are considered light duty trucks but 1-tons are usually respected as medium to light heavy duty trucks. So I think 1/2 ton trucks are always called PU trucks, regardless of what is mounted on the back.
