My '01 Camaro (all black)... light switch off, start car in dim or dark ambient light, put in any gear without turning on light switch, and whallah! regular headlights AND taillights turn on automaticly (not a partial daytime driving version). There you are... driving around with all your lights on and the switch is off! They also turn on if you've been driving in daylight and go into a tunnel or darker area like heavy fog, stormy weather, or entering a parking garage. It appears to have about a 7 to 10 second sensor. I just love the safety features good old Chevy builds in. In my opinion, with this specific feature, newer IS better You guys must be familiar with the Toyota's inferior capability to design safe vehicles. GO GM , GO MOPAR !!!

Also the driving lights, you know the ones embedded into the front bumpers that are sometimes used as fog lights, only come on when the parking lights are turned on, or the headlights are on in the low beam position, hense... rear lights are on, eh!

& buy the way, I'm sure you know this already, the always on driving lamps are the front amber parking lenses only, easy on the eyes for oncoming traffic but very effective for being NOTICED! Maybe even we are saying the same thing. Thanks!
