I tend to agree with you on the CFMs for tools. Shy of mounting a 60 gal (+) tank & 2 stage compressor, I don't see running air tools off my PW. I will be building a small under-hood compressor later for airing up tires and small stuff when needed, and plan on using hollow tube bumpers as a mini storage tank (5gal front & 5gal rear). I am thinking hydraulic tools, impact wrench, drill, chain saw etc... I've seen most of these (hydraulic tools) available "used" for reasonable prices. So I am looking for a good NOS or used external shaft (PTO) driven hydraulic pump (20+GPM), and any (manual lever or electric) control valves, hoses, fittings, etc, and trying to piece something together at a reasonable cost. My goal is to install the PTO pump (in place of the water pump I now have)and run a line to a ram or 2, run another line to a rear (bed) mounted hydraulic winch/lift, and a 3rd/4th line to the front & rear of the PW for quick connect tools like those above or to connect a log splitter or the like (hydraulic winch on my flatbed trailer). I've gotten a couple of responses of available pumps and am considering most options at the moment. Hydraulic is more efficient, powerfull, and quieter than the others. Thanks!
