For anyone interested in or not familiar with WWII Dodge trucks, this is an excellent website with a photo example of each model of truck.

BTW, it was not an "M-56" you were looking at. The 3/4 ton Command Cars are WC-56, WC-57 (with winch) and WC-58 (with radio gear). The M-56 is a heavy duty cab/chassis member of the M37 family, with a longer wheelbase (matces the M43 Ambulance). It was used with a variety of specialty bodies.
